RECYCLE BIN

CAVENDISH PARK INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

The Clipstone Labour Party have always believed that the proposed industrial site at Cavendish Park is not appropriate for village. While the fight against the planning permission on the Cavendish Park site was lost a good few years ago, the availability of an alternative derelict Brownfield site in the village should be developed first and the developer of the industrial site in Cavendish Park should be encouraged to re-submit a new planning application for residential use on that site with the full support of local residents, Parish Councillors, District Councillor and Member of Parliament.

Clipstone's Labour Party has always supported the local MP (Paddy Tipping) in his attempts to have the old 'pit-site' developed for industrial use, the site in our view is an eye-sore and health hazard in its current state and its redevelopment would bring many opportunities to the village. Clipstone Labour Party Parish Councillors have committed themselves to achieve this aim as well as Clipstone's Labour District Councillor Dave Thompson.

A meeting between paddy Tipping MP and leading residents on Cavendish Park has been arranged to take place early in August with a view to developing a way forward and any news of this meeting well be posted here in the near future.

NEW PROPOSAL FOR CAVENDISH PARK

There will be a series of consultation meetings with residents and the Parish Council over the new proposals on the Industrial site over changing its status to a mixed use development

The Clipstone Parish Council has fully supported the residents of Cavendish Park over their concerns on the Industrial site proposals and would like to hear their views and all other residents of Clipstone’s views on this large development.
