CAMPAIGNS AND VILLAGE ISSUES

STATION ROAD

It is time that this road was brought up to an acceptable standard. When the development on Station road took place the whole road should have been brought up to a proper standard and not left with only  the bottom half completed

MANSFIELD ROAD

Mansfield Road is now too busy for the Village to cope with. The amount of traffic passing through the Village is making life difficult for residents, cars cannot pull out onto the Main road, pedestrians cannot walk across the road safely and in the Old Village you cannot safely walk on the pavements.

What happened to our By-pass, this was proposed in the 1980’s when there was a lot less traffic on the road. The By-pass would have gone from the roundabout on Crown Farm Way to the other side of the railway bridge in the Old Village.

Greendale Crescent

The Clipstone Labour Party is campaigning for a better deal for the residents of Greendale Crescent, the MP Paddy Tipping is involved and has already had a consultation meeting with concerned residents and organisations that are involved with Greendale.

CLEANER SAFER PAVEMENTS

Clipstone's Labour Parish Councillors have had 10 dog waste bins installed around the Village to make the pavements better to walk on,dog waste bags are available from Councillor Ken Weaver and Councillor Dave Thompson.

Our Councillors are also pressing the Police to take action against people who block pavements with cars, making people walk on the road to get past these obstructions.

If there are any issues that you think should happen in the Village please e-mail Dave

FOOTPATHS CAMPAIGN

Clipstone’s Labour Parish Councillors have been working with the Kings Clipstone project in protecting our footpaths for people to enjoy for the future, over the last few years we have lost some of these footpaths and we are determined that no more are lost.

Please contact our footpaths warden Councillor Terry Harkess on Tel: 627105 if you could help.

We need people to identify what footpaths they have walked along, some over 30 years ago. If we provide evidence that the paths been used then we can get them listed.
