Clipstone's new Pelican crossing

CLIPSTONE'S NEW CROSSING

At last, Clipstone’s new light controlled crossing is up and running and people can cross the main road in safety. This was a great result for the Clipstone Labour Party.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS UPDATE

The Christmas lights campaign is going well, up to date the amount raised is £4250, this amount is made up from £2000 from Councillor Dave Thompson and £2000 from Councillor Andy Freeman both from their Divisional funds and £250 from the District Council’s regeneration fund. Another £3250 is needed to get the lights for 2008.

CAVENDISH PARK INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

There is movement on the Cavendish Park Industrial site, with the developers bringing in new proposals for an mixed use site instead of just industrial.

The new proposals will be for 420 houses with community facilities and a small industrial/office area.

The developers will be holding a consultation meeting with residents at Clipstone Village Hall on Friday 11th July between 3.30pm and 7.30pm
